The development of the Mid-Atlantic Advanced Manufacturing Center has been a high priority of Greensville County and the Regional Industrial Facilities Authority members. The provision of utilities is a key component of the development plan.

One utility that weighs heavily in a project locator’s decision is the availability of natural gas. Natural Gas can greatly reduce operational costs to a company.

The recent announcement of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline by Dominion and the Commonwealth of Virginia reported the new natural gas line will be within 5 miles or less of the MAMaC property. This close proximity and natural gas capacity is a benefit for the MAMaC project as well as future economic development in the community.
