Water and Sewer

Water and sewer services are provided by the Greensville County Water and Sewer Authority in partnership with the City of Emporia. The Emporia Water Treatment Plant has an unused and available capacity of 2 million gallons of water per day. The Authority has planned and engineered an expansion to its Three Creek Sewage Treatment Plant so that 2 million gallons per day of unused and available wastewater treatment service will exist.


Electricity is provided by Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative. Time-of-Day Rates and Interruptible Rates are offered to industrial users. 

Natural Gas

Natural gas service is available through Columbia Gas of Virginia. 


Verizon, a leader in voice, data and video communications, provides advanced telecommunications services to MAMaC. Broadband service is provided by Mid-Atlantic Broadband Cooperative, which offers the latest fiber-optic technology for today’s business needs.
